Our Story

Medical Claim-Aid began as a collection agency in June 1989. We quickly established a reputation for personalized, reliable, impeccable and comprehensive service. In April 1994, Caroline County Emergency Medical Services approached us to consider administering their county-wide ambulance billing. Our extensive experience in medical insurance claim filing and medical recovery provided an excellent basis for ambulance billing. We agreed to do it, and the county program was an overwhelming success!

The program continues to serve as a prototype for other municipalities across the state and country. MCA currently bills for over 60 EMS services in Maryland and Virginia, processing in excess of 40,000 claims annually for our clients. Our experience has proven invaluable in obtaining the largest reimbursement for our companies. Clients know our dedication to their company has made their program successful -- 90% of our new clients come from referrals.

Our staff is professional, personable and conscientious.  We handle each patient’s call with diligence and care, gathering the vital insurance information and explaining the critical need for this revenue source for the EMS providers. Our staff is well trained, attending numerous seminars whenever available from Medicare, Medicaid, Page Wolfberg & Wirth  and the American Ambulance Association. We have over 60 years combined EMS billing experience. Intricate coding mandates, challenging Medicare regulations, complex insurance forms, and the daily follow-up on claims are routine occurrences for us. Our size (13 employees) allows us familiarity with each client, and the ability to serve each one very well.  We are efficient, hard working, innovative and dedicated.
